I played 1st edition when it came out and haven’t played since. I love this pod cast (at episode 150) Fantastic story line, great non annoying sound track (ambient style) . The best dnd podcast out there as not over dramatised.
Includes a bit of random chit chat ( cheese, beer, drooling dogs, nostalgic references) but as an intro rather than interrupting the story flow. ‘ age of worms’ . Now up to date with episodes. Still fantastic! And continues to be the quintessential D&D 5e actual play p... more
This is a beautifully balanced podcast, with all the elements of great gameplay, some chat about game mechanics and plot, but with all the banter between friends that for many people lies at the heart of role playing games.
It is, from the start, very well edited and constructed. But as the characters and their interactions become more beloved as the podcast continues it gets better and better.
The podcast is a regular topic of conversation around our gaming table.
