Great information, entertaining content. Very good.
Great podcast. However when listening to this at night my volume level has to be about 2% as the podcast is very loud, then Hannah’s voice is often vastly louder than Michael’s. Please do some fine tuning on sound levels for us that listen at night or sleep to. Thanks
Re: the vegetable discussion. Here’s another thing. My dietitian told me that in my eating plan potato only counts as a vegetable once a day, after which it counts as a carb.
Turns out vegetables are not always vegetables. They are situation-dependant entities.
Thanks for all the lovely science.
Good: you know these two. Effective and charismatic science communicators with many years of experience each.
Bad: ads. Not only are there a lot of them, but they play sponsor-provided ads rather than reading copy.
You know, the very reason people switched to podcasts from radio.
It’s grating. Corporate ads are just disgusting and derail the whole show.
I can only listen when I have my phone nearby so I can skip the atrocious ads.
I understand that Hannah Fry’s full time job is now content creation but a mathematician and a YouTuber just didn’t work for this podcast. Rutherford & Fry worked better because it was less sensationalist. Not really worth the listen.
