  • Excellent podcast

I am not aware of any other podcasts that does the same thing as this one. We listen to a talk first and then hear from the speaker afterwards. The speaker shares his or her insights of how the talk was prepared, and unpacks further what was said in the talk. The talks cover a wide range of Bible passages and speakers!

    Super helpful and encouraging!

John Lennox on Jesus and the Future of Humanity #Jesus #FutureOfHumanity #ChristianHope
Q: What is the biblical view on upgrading humanity through biotech or cyborg technologies?
Upgrade is acceptable inasmuch as it respects human nature as created in God's image and avoids turning humanity into mere artifacts of scientific power; true transformation comes from God, not from human dominance over creation.
John Lennox on Jesus and the Future of Humanity #Jesus #FutureOfHumanity #ChristianHope
Q: As we face AI's rapid evolution, how should we respond personally and theologically?
Engage wisely by embracing the positive uses of AI while recognizing ethical limits, seek biblical literacy, and involve Christian voices in the conversation to ground tech progress in moral responsibility.
Kevin DeYoung on the Secret to Reaching the Next Generation #YouthMinistry #BibleTeaching #ChristianLiving
Q: Tell us a bit about what you do back in the US of A.
Kevin DeYoung describes his role as a pastor and professor, leading a large PCA church in North Carolina while teaching systematic theology and mentoring interns, emphasizing the ongoing call to study, teach, and shepherd faithfully.
John Lennox on AI, Transhumanism & the Hope of the Bible #JohnLennox #ArtificialIntelligence
Q: Why should we not expect AI to solve death or deliver utopia, and what evidence supports Christian hope over technological promises?
Because death is tied to the human condition and sin, not solvable by technology alone; Christianity offers a historical and experiential basis for hope in resurrection, accompanied by transformative experiences in people's lives that go beyond rational argument.
John Lennox on AI, Transhumanism & the Hope of the Bible #JohnLennox #ArtificialIntelligence
Q: But what about the ethics—what makes Christian ethics different when it comes to AI compared to atheistic approaches?
The difference lies in the source of moral authority and the intrinsic dignity of humans made in the image of God, which guides how technologies should be developed and deployed, rather than relying solely on utilitarian calculations or technocratic progress.
