  • Thank You

I love Dr Flowers’ work and, even if he ends up being wrong about Calvinism, he’s got ten times the Christian graciousness of James White, who treats Flowers awfully. Flowers is a model of how a Christian should behave.

  • At peace again…

Since I was barely old enough to remember, I have had a sincere desire to know and serve my Saviour. I have lived in intimacy with Him, and while I have had my fair number of trails, they have only grown my faith as I saw His loving hand working all things for my good. I was never encouraged to develop any strong ties to a specific theology—what mattered was Christ, and Him crucified, repentance of sin and growing in the likeness of Jesus. During the Covid era, the church I grew up in shut down ... more

  • So encouraging and confirming

It’s taken me about seven years to come out of my 40+ years of Calvinism sitting under one of the most prominent Calvinistic pastors/preachers alive today, and to see the true love and provision of God for ALL his creatures. And Leighton’s awesome program has been not only a major confirmation that I’m on the right biblical track but has encouraged me to hang in there and to study the Bible more to make sure I can support my provisionalism from scripture. My husband and I are still in the teensy... more

  • Poor arguments

I think it is poor to bash Calvinism when all of the points actually are backed by scripture. God doesn’t hate us just to hate us. He hates sin, and unless he changes our heart, we are incapable of seeing His goodness. I think you should take another look at Romans 9. Sad to hear this episode and people responding positively.

Why I Left Calvinism w/ The Tallest Apologist
Q: Tell us a little bit about that. One, were you raised as a Calvinist in more of a Presbyterian background? Or how did you become a Calvinist in the first place?
I grew up in a Christian type of household but wasn't fully bought into it until I went to college and was exposed to Calvinistic teachers. My wife introduced me to the theology.
Is Calvinism the Historic Faith?
Q: Was there a fixed position on the state of infants when created?
No, the early Christians did not hold a dogmatic view on infants being guilty; they generally believed in the innocence of children.
Is Calvinism the Historic Faith?
Q: Why do you think going to the primary sources is so vital?
It's important to see the truth for yourself rather than relying on biased secondary sources, as even reputable sources can make mistakes.
Is Calvinism the Historic Faith?
Q: What did you learn about the earliest Christians in contrast to the Gnostics and Pagans of their day?
The Gnostics taught predestination, and early Christians were refuting that teaching, while also explaining free will to pagan Romans, who believed in fate.
Calvinism's Edomite Issue
Q: What would be the purpose then in Malachi 1 for God to say, Jacob, I loved, Esau, I hated, if Esau is representation of the nations of the world?
The purpose is that this is Covenant language. It's to affirm to the nation of Israel that they are the covenant people, not the Edomites, in the context of the judgments against Edom.
