  • Great Format, Guests, and Topics. I listen every week.

I really appreciate the honesty and integrity with which the hosts approach the topics and issues that are being discussed. I appreciate to that they don’t always have a guest with whom they agree with on everything. They are open to talking with the body of Christ and discussing the issues that we should be talking about. They are great at bringing forth what we as Christians should be doing and look like every single day. Life in the Kingdom of God!

This episode was ridiculous. God does not use demons to punish his children. Jesus cast out demons he did not send them to punish or use them as tools. God is light in Him there is no darkness, no shadows. He is just and righteous. This world is a battle of good and evil.

Did Protestant Reformers Believe in Spiritual Gifts? Luther, Calvin, Wesley & More
Q: First, since I'm assuming the majority of continuationists in the Charismatic Church are Protestant, are there any early Reformation scholars, Knox, Calvin, Wesley, Luther, etc., or councils that wrote or made doctrinal statements that agree or promote the continuationism of miraculous gifts?
The host outlines that there are historical accounts and testimonies from early reformers and Covenanter followers that document prophetic and miraculous events, but emphasizes a cautious, test-driven approach to prophecy rather than blanket endorsement; he cites Samuel Rutherford's four-part test for prophetic words and highlights that early sources provide corroborating stories while urging careful evaluation.
Prophecy, Words of Knowledge & Evangelism with JonMark Baker | Minor Prophets Podcast
Q: How would you encourage somebody to grow in this gift beyond just saying 'I am available' and hoping for a word?
Treat availability as a general posture, cultivate sensitivity through prayer and scriptural reflection, seek opportunities to serve, and practice asking the person for feedback to confirm whether the impression was from the Spirit.
Prophecy, Words of Knowledge & Evangelism with JonMark Baker | Minor Prophets Podcast
Q: Were you walking through the gas station and you looked at a person and felt compassion toward her, is that the normal mode and then you go, Lord, do you have something to say?
Yes, it's often a two-step process: recognize a compassionate impulse, then seek God for a specific message and test it with the person's response, rather than forcing a prophecy in every situation.
The Doctrine That Tried to Fix Feminism — And Got the Trinity Wrong: EFS with Dr. Malcolm Yarnell
Q: How should we understand Jesus' two wills in light of orthodox Christology?
Jesus possesses two natures—divine and human—each with its own will in the incarnate state; the human will submits to the divine will in the sense of obedience, not as a permanent subordination of divinity, preserving full divinity and humanity.
The Doctrine That Tried to Fix Feminism — And Got the Trinity Wrong: EFS with Dr. Malcolm Yarnell
Q: Could you describe what Eternal Functional Subordination is, and why it is controversial?
EFS posits a functional subordination among the Trinity to explain authority dynamics, but it is controversial because it risks implying a hierarchy within the Godhead that many see as undermining the equality of the Father, Son, and Spirit and potentially echoing Arian concerns if pushed too far.
