  • No thanks

This is like a kid on Christmas who got a noise machine and is trying to muse every single sound at the same time. Absolutely annoying and hard to even listen to what little food talk goes on

  • Content is great

The horns and buzzers used for filler are very annoying. I would prefer a shorter show than the excruciating horns and buzzers.

  • Show overall is just not good.

From the cheesy PowerPoint sounds to the non stop talking about nothing I can’t take this show. You get a sliver of info then the rest is just filler. I tried to give it a go multiple times. I don’t know how Malcom and others do this show. I’ll stick to their podcasts. Atleast we get information there.

  • Ridiculous

How anyone can listen to this is beyond me. The sound effects, yelling and screaming is ridiculous.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Regional Hot Dogs; Is There BBQ in The Bahamas?
Q: Is there a Bahamian barbecue tradition, or is the Caribbean influence more about grilling?
There isn't a strong Bahamian low-and-slow barbecue tradition highlighted here; the Caribbean influences lean more toward grilling with bold marinades and different wood flavors, which enriches the overall barbecue conversation.
Regional Hot Dogs; Is There BBQ in The Bahamas?
Q: What makes hot dog culture so regional, and how does it influence home cooking?
Regional styles like the Chicago dog or the Cincinnati dog demonstrate that toppings, preparation methods, and even how the dog is served (griddled, boiled, or wrapped) create distinct identities, and these preferences can guide backyard setups and party ideas.
Famous Dave's All Star BBQ Challenge; White Label Poul Tree?
Q: Do you see this concept scaling up to 20 teams per event or staying lean due to space and logistics?
Scaling up to 20 teams per event would be challenging due to space limitations and parking constraints, so future growth may involve layered formats across multiple programs rather than a single national tour in one venue.
Famous Dave's All Star BBQ Challenge; White Label Poul Tree?
Q: How do you define success for the Famous Dave's All-Star BBQ Challenge this year?
Success is measured by Dave Anderson's satisfaction with the turn-ins and by how smoothly the events run logistically across locations, ensuring the operation does not disrupt the lunch crowd and still introduces new pit masters to the market.
GQUE BBQ Is BACK; Peg Leg Porker Has The Spirit Of America!
Q: Can you describe the Spirit of America bourbon and its connection to your BBQ background?
Carey outlines the Tennessee straight bourbon filtered through Hickory Charcoal to impart a barbecue flavor without smokiness, the branding around Spirit of America, and the annual edition concept tied to American storytelling.
