I agree with a prior reviewer that the male’s lack of respect to Batavia is disconcerting and makes listening difficult. ‘Landed here as I was trying podcasts for a good garden listen. Also, his opinion, and experience way out of my growing zone is not as helpful as science. Sadly this is not the podcast for me.
Love this podcast and the dynamic between the two hosts. It’s like you’re listening in on a personal conversation between two long time friends who have a shared passion for gardening. They poke fun and egg eachother on at times but are also so beautifully encouraging with each other. The gardening advice is more experience based than research or science based, but it’s relaxed and fun and there’s a place for both in the gardening enthusiast’s podcast lineup. I love this one.
Love this podcast. The hosts are really great and fun to listen to and i learn a lot every time i turn it on. They have great personalities and give information without sounding dry. They constantly give me great tips and i look forward to every new episode.
They give out so much advice, I have learned so much and will forever be a fan. Thank you for all your encouragement and knowledge you give us newbie green fairies.
This is my absolute favorite podcast. It is wholesome and honest with no agenda other than to help people. I’ve listened for years and am just starting a garden now, but has always been such a pleasure to listen to.

Two longtime home gardeners share practical, experience-based advice for growing food and flowers in backyards of varying sizes. The tone blends friendly banter with actionable tips, real-world experiments, and sponsor mentions, making it approachable for hobbyists while still offering concrete takeaways. A notable strength is the duo's hands-on, region-spanning perspective and willingness to test ideas in real gardens, which can translate into sustainable, repeatable strategies for listeners.
