  • Thank god Joyce Eng joined

She’s the only prognosticator I want to listen to on this podcast. She does her research and comes prepared with stats/facts.

  • Insufferable Joyce

What is with Joyce Ng’s annoying habit of naming actors only by their first names, like she hangs out with them? ( ‘Timmy’ for Chalamet…please!) she tends to dominate every discussion, and not with any discernment or wit. I loved Joey Noto’s insightful, sometimes acerbic commentary on films. She has ruined this podcast for me.

Final Oscar winner predictions, secret ballot results, and Nevo the Mentalist teases Oscars surprise
Q: Do you think Timothée Chalamet's campaign will have a lasting impact on the Best Actor race?
There's debate: some feel his aggressive campaigning was off-putting and could hurt him, while others think the momentum from his nominations and screen performance might still carry him. The panel eventually leans toward MBJ as the more likely winner, given reactions in the room and broader campaign signals.
Final Oscar winner predictions, secret ballot results, and Nevo the Mentalist teases Oscars surprise
Q: Joey and Joyce, who do you think is the favorite to win Supporting Actor this year?
The consensus leans toward Sean Penn due to his BAFTA win and the film's overall momentum, though some caution that the category could still swing to Delroy Delroy (depending on precursors) and the ensemble strength.
