  • Insufferable Joyce

What is with Joyce Ng’s annoying habit of naming actors only by their first names, like she hangs out with them? ( ‘Timmy’ for Chalamet…please!) she tends to dominate every discussion, and not with any discernment or wit. I loved Joey Noto’s insightful, sometimes acerbic commentary on films. She has ruined this podcast for me.

'Sinners' star and Oscar nominee Delroy Lindo, BAFTA nominations analysis
Q: What made this story something that you had to be a part of?
The idea of exploring what it means when a community is violated, which for me is and has always been a very contemporary notion.
'Sinners' star and Oscar nominee Delroy Lindo, BAFTA nominations analysis
Q: Did you ever have a British accent?
I did, and I'm waiting for an opportunity, a work opportunity when I can put it perhaps to use.
'Sinners' star and Oscar nominee Delroy Lindo, BAFTA nominations analysis
Q: Was there a hope or a thought for how many the movie might get?
No, not for me personally, because I think part of my job is to maintain distance.
'Sinners' star and Oscar nominee Delroy Lindo, BAFTA nominations analysis
Q: Does it feel real?
It feels real, but because this process has so many tentacles on it, there are lots of different on and off ramps, lots of new people to speak with, lots of new processes to navigate.
SAG's Actor Award nominations reaction, 'Song Sung Blue' star Kate Hudson
Q: Is this one, would you kind of consider a diamond in the rough?
I see a lot of everything. It's more about the filmmakers and the quality of the roles.
