She’s the only prognosticator I want to listen to on this podcast. She does her research and comes prepared with stats/facts.
What is with Joyce Ng’s annoying habit of naming actors only by their first names, like she hangs out with them? ( ‘Timmy’ for Chalamet…please!) she tends to dominate every discussion, and not with any discernment or wit. I loved Joey Noto’s insightful, sometimes acerbic commentary on films. She has ruined this podcast for me.
Thank you thank you thank you for bringing Joyce onto the pod after she joined the EW team. We love her and need her continuously. She can join you and Kristen. Joyce has an unparalleled pulse on the industry and she is invaluable on this pod.
EW’s Gerrad Hall is a great host. He knows the Entertainment business like the back of his hand and makes any episode insightful and well worth listening to. His cohost are always great editions as well. Never miss this one.
Love this show!! Such great understanding of all things Hollywood!! Love Hacks! Abbot elementary and shrinking. But have you watched Mid Century Modern. A real giggler!!

Award-focused discussions pair with interview-driven conversations, spotlighting stars, TV projects, and awards season strategy. Episodes mix in-depth interviews with actors and creators, host banter, and behind-the-scenes industry context—covering Emmys, Oscars, Tonyesque shifts, and reality TV dynamics. A notable strength is weaving craft insight, career longevity, and festival moments into broader conversations about production, scheduling, and the business of entertainment, often with timely commentary during peak awards periods.
