  • Reliable unconventional health advice

Thank you for creating more content to serve as a resource for people who have been hurt by the invisible toxins created by current methods of home building! Because they’re invisible and oftentimes imperceptible to the 5 main human senses altogether, their validity is frequently questioned and the efficacy of various “treatments” can be difficult to accurately assess without expensive equipment that is not accessible to most.

That makes these areas of health somewhat treacherous territory, li... more

  • Helping Me Awaken to What a Healthy Home Truly Means

I honestly can’t pick a favorite episode—every single one has impacted me in a meaningful way. Ashley has helped me understand what a healthy home means for me, reminding me that just like diets, what works for one person might not work for another. I especially love how she said in one episode, “every home should at a minimum be safe and healthy.” That really stayed with me.

She has inspired me to realize that creating a healthy home is not only possible, but something I can do step by step. I... more

Episode 17: A Non-Toxic Architect’s Guide to Circadian Living, Materials, and Modern Wellness
Q: Is there anything that you've learned that you think would be a good takeaway for people listening?
Just remember to take deep breaths and realize that health improvements often come in small steps. Simplifying things in life, including your physical environment, can lead to greater peace and less clutter.
Episode 17: A Non-Toxic Architect’s Guide to Circadian Living, Materials, and Modern Wellness
Q: Can you walk us through, how would you design a space for circadian health for your clients? What are some of the things, where do you start?
I would track the sun and ensure the home's design allows for morning sunlight. Bedrooms should be designed to be tranquil while still allowing for natural light to enter, and I would focus on reducing the presence of electrical outlets near beds to improve health.
Episode 12: Vetting a mold inspector and remediation company with Kendra Seymour
Q: Can you give us a clear guideline if someone was in your shoes to evaluate a home?
Start by hiring a knowledgeable indoor environmental professional for a thorough inspection, followed by safe and effective remediation. After remediation, have the inspector return for post-remediation verification.
Episode 09: EMF and Mold Safe Homes and Living with Cathy Cooke
Q: What do you think is the biggest issue facing our homes today?
Cathy identifies mold problems and the need to hardwire internet connections as significant issues that can greatly impact health.
Episode 09: EMF and Mold Safe Homes and Living with Cathy Cooke
Q: Can you speak to the tri-field meter a little bit for anyone who's out there doing some self-testing and what the limitations are?
Cathy explains that while the tri-field meter is a good tool, it has limitations in measuring radio frequency accurately, and hiring a professional for a thorough assessment is often necessary.
