  • Cruelty by Nature, Dr. Peter Solano

Thank you for educating me of this issue of cruelty and harm inflicted intentionally to achieve a goal. This is a level of aggression I needed to understand in my personal and professional life. I think this is timely and we see it in our world on so many levels today….the “not caring”. This Power Struggle where nothing matters but status and power. I do believe it is linked to insecurity and absence of vulnerability, but adults in this case, are users and use this as high arousal of dopamine. W... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Pain is a Predictor of Threat with Anna Gieselman
Q: How do you tailor a nervous-system-focused approach to individuals?
By using thorough intake, recognizing whether someone is bottom-up or top-down in regulation, and designing a personalized toolkit of 8-15 techniques to practice regularly, adjusted over time.
Pain is a Predictor of Threat with Anna Gieselman
Q: What is the core reason pain persists beyond obvious tissue damage?
Pain often reflects the brain's threat prediction rather than a direct, ongoing tissue injury, and addressing the inputs and neural maps can rapidly reduce pain when the brain feels safe.
Do Less First: Plant Medicine & The Primordial Code with Brian Costello
Q: What does the 'do less first' philosophy mean in practice, especially when plant medicines are involved?
Do less first means stripping away unnecessary inputs before adding anything new. Plant medicine can be additive, but the wisdom it unveils tends to push people toward a simpler, more aligned lifestyle. In the long run, it promotes reduction, better pacing, and greater emphasis on preparation and integration rather than quick fixes.
Do Less First: Plant Medicine & The Primordial Code with Brian Costello
Q: Where do you see the most common misunderstandings about solving modern health problems, given your experience with plant medicines and primal practices?
Many people overemphasize external fixes and data-driven approaches, losing sight of internal guidance. There's a belief that all the answers live outside of us, in studies or protocols, when in fact accessing intuition and inner wisdom is foundational. The key is quieting noise, returning to direct experiential evidence, and recognizing that less can be more.
Locomotion 2 0: Head Over Foot, Coil, and Re-coil with David Weck
Q: Tell us about your book and why you wrote it; what can readers expect to learn?
The book Every Step Stronger outlines practical strategies for building a foundational, movement-based mindset—covering invention, entrepreneurship, mental resilience, and biomechanics of hands and feet. It emphasizes locomotion as the core function that enables better performance in all activities and offers a three-week program to normalize balance and improve gait.
