The APsolute RecAP: Biology Edition

Good information, but Kingetts voice is really annoying. The jokes aren’t funny and the side effects get on your nerves so fast.

I won’t lie, it seemed a little immature at some points, and I would have appreciated less sound effects, but for the most part it was extremely helpful! I haven’t taken the test yet, but I feel much more prepared than I did before I found this! Thank you!!

While this is a great podcast for quick review (especially breaking it down to the bare bones of concepts, without too much extra stuff), the, shall we say, generous usage of sound effects can get on your nerves incredibly quickly, and there are many jokes that aren’t funny, not even funny in a cringey way. So while a great source of information, you might not want to use it right before a test when you’re full of nerves. It’s still better than most AP Bio review podcasts I’ve found though

I found this podcast very helpful. You can pick parts that you don't understand well and they use understanding language. They explain everything very well. Definitely would recommend.

I was recommended the APsolute recAP: biology edition by another student in my first year university biology class. I am so happy I gave it a try because the information is presented exactly how they say, “to maximize understanding and minimize your need for memorization”. Listening here made everything feel like it clicked. There are also tips and tricks for remembering terms. Give this a listen!!

Excellent study companion. The wording is concise and extremely easy to follow. I’m recommending this to my students.

5 min 46 sec into episode 5 has a simple error: should be hydrophilic heads and hydrophobic tails.

Would highly recommend for review of material. It is clear, concise, and gives us insight into Biology concepts.

All of the audios explain topics of biology in a clear and concise way. It is a fun way of learning biology and I recommend this to anyone interested in learning topics in general.

This is a great way to review for the AP test! The content is presented in a way that is fun and easy to understand. It helped me to stress a little less about the test and feel more prepared. It’s true - it’s not about memorization, it’s about understanding. Even if you’re not planning on taking the AP test, it’s a great review for the regular tests as well.
