  • An informative and enjoyable listen

Even tho we live in Ottawa, we’re hooked on Andrew’s podcast (from a visit to the Eastern Townships last fall). Totally enjoyable and informative. Great segments with Tom and Dr. Mitch and other guests. Andrew has a nice casual approach; and we enjoy his wit.

  • Speaking for the ones that can’t.

Andrew has to stop interrupting his coworkers. They feel it and so do the audience.

  • Tom Mulcair political analysis

Tom Mulcair deserves his own podcast. We can not always catch his weekday segments in the am with Andrew Carter and in the pm with Aaron Rand.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Carney's Liberals could form a majority government today. What does that mean?
Q: Do you have any predictions there?
The trend suggests Carney will reach a majority gradually by picking up seats from the Conservative lineup, with Terrebonne and Rosedale-like ridings likely leaning Liberal; a few additional seats could provide a comfortable majority with some wiggle room, though there may be more floor-crossers in play.
Looking ahead to The Masters with TSN's Bob Weeks
Q: Okay, who's your choice, Bob, to win this thing?
He picks Bryson DeChambeau, citing his recent wins on the LIV Golf Tour and his analytical, club-building approach, while acknowledging the course's challenges and past closeness to a green jacket in recent years.
Looking ahead to The Masters with TSN's Bob Weeks
Q: Now, Bob, what are the matchups to watch this morning, whether the foursims or threesims are to watch this morning?
Weeks points to traditional groupings including the reigning champion Rory McIlroy with the reigning US Amateur Champion, and notes several Canadians (Corey Connors, Mike Weir, Nick Taylor) in the mix, emphasizing how early rounds can hint at the day's dynamics.
Just Wondering: How often should you wash your bedsheets?
Q: So washing recommendations for sheets, what do you suggest, doctor?
The guest recommends washing sheets and pillowcases at least once a week, using a hot wash at around 60 degrees to kill bacteria, fungi, and dust mites, and suggests washing pillow cases and pillows too; for households with children or pets, more frequent washing every three to four days may be advisable, with tumble drying or ironing helping sanitize items.
Dr. Mitch: New study suggests marriage might be linked to a lower risk of cancer
Q: What does this study suggest about marriage and cancer risk?
The study indicates that being married is associated with a lower incidence of certain lifestyle cancers and may relate to healthier behaviors or earlier detection, though the observational design means we must interpret the findings cautiously and consider potential confounding factors.
