Such a delight to listen to. Scott’s passion is clear in the detail he imparts about distant Assyrian (Akkadian) history. Love his fun, oldschool turns of phrase— “tabula rasa”. Also appreciate someone who puts together quality sources for what they discuss; especially in a world of unaourced “slop”.
This is the best history podcast I've come across - and believe me I have listened to a few. The subject is always very well researched and appropriate references are provided along with access to maps and photographs. Each episode rattles along at quite a pace but always seems to include so much detail. In addition I find Scott's dry humour regularly very amusing. I can't recommend it more higly.
