  • Entertaining and Informative

If you like a LGBTQ show that discusses the Supreme Court one minute, then jokes about some wierd sex thing the next minute, then this show is for you. Adam is well spoken and informed. It's obvious he prepares for the show and the interviews with his guests. He's a natural!

  • Happy to have this podcast back.

I enjoy this podcast and really happy to hear it come back after he stopped for a while. I wish I was on the right coast so I could actually see him perform the occasional show. I also think that you should keep the what we are watching segment because I love to hear about new shows and I love how Gail hates it. Since there doesn’t seem to be any consolidated media about new shows, it is actually more important to me to learn about new shows that I might want to watch or old shows I want to w... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 276: Michelangelo Signorile Looks Back and (Gaily) Forward
Q: What are your thoughts on outing in journalism today?
Outing should be contextual and tied to public-interest reporting; it remains a tool for exposing public figures whose actions harm LGBTQ communities, but it must be careful not to intrude unnecessarily into private lives without relevance to public policy or impact.
Ep. 276: Michelangelo Signorile Looks Back and (Gaily) Forward
Q: How does the Bryon Noem situation fit into the broader discussion of outing and public accountability?
The hosts frame it as hypocrisy exposure—public figures linked to anti-queer positions should be scrutinized for consistency, while also acknowledging the tension around outing private individuals who are not public figures.
Ep. 276: Michelangelo Signorile Looks Back and (Gaily) Forward
Q: What does Michelangelo Signorile think about the current state of LGBTQ rights and the role of media in shaping public opinion?
Signorile emphasizes that progress has been real but fragile, with ongoing backlash from political actors and media narratives; he argues for active, unapologetic advocacy and responsible reporting that highlights harm and maintains visibility.
Ep. 278: Honey Davenport Rocks a Leather Jockstrap
Q: How has your identity evolved across drag, leather, and non-binary presentation?
Honey explains that drag is a performance while leather is a core aspect of their identity, with non-binary presentation influencing both stage and daily life, and that all facets inform each other.
Ep. 270: John Fugelsang Takes Us to Church
Q: What inspired you to write Separation of Church and Hate?
The book grew out of a need to critique how conservative religious power has co-opted Christian ethics, while highlighting historical examples where Christian principles were used to defend social justice and human dignity.
