  • Audio & broadcast engineering

The show has an interesting content and the hosts bring to the table a wide range guests. It’s not all about the “home team”.

Unfortunately the audio has deteriorated to the point where some guests cannot even be heard.

  • Audio

You need to listen to the podcast before putting it out! You have to turn the volume wide open to hear the guest then when you guys talk it blows ear drums out. Terrible audio quality

  • Informative and a little too perky

I enjoy the content and the guests who are invited, but sometimes it’s overly positive and not critical enough when a team or coach should be questioned. I’ve been a listener for two years now and I never hear much push back from the hosts if they have a different viewpoint than the guests or each other. Instead it feels like an echo chamber. I neither expect nor want confrontation, but more discussion on the nuisances of what’s happening should occur. The Hokies who run it could be less biased ... more

Q: What is your overall expectation for BC's season and how does the schedule affect it?
The analyst predicts a ceiling around five wins and a floor near one or two wins early, emphasizing the tough schedule with games against Miami, Notre Dame, Duke, and other ACC competitors, while acknowledging the need to see how the revamped roster and new staff perform in camp before firm conclusions.
Ep. 596 - The ACC Weekly previews 2026 Boston College Football with @AJBlack247
Q: What are the two most pivotal games and what do they indicate about the season?
The Cincinnati opener and the Red Bandana game against Rutgers are the pivotal tests; performance in these games will signal whether BC can compete at a high level or struggle, potentially foreshadowing the season's trajectory.
Ep. 596 - The ACC Weekly previews 2026 Boston College Football with @AJBlack247
Q: Who are some of the new recruits or transfers that could see significant playing time early?
Key portal pickups like Mason McKenzie at quarterback, running back Evan Dickens from Liberty, and offensive lineman Vigour Jean-Germot from Tennessee State are expected to contribute early, along with defensive contributors like Anthony Pallano and Bodhi Cahoon at linebacker and other new faces across the defense.
Ep. 596 - The ACC Weekly previews 2026 Boston College Football with @AJBlack247
Q: AJ, what are some of the major strengths coming back for Boston College football in 2026?
AJ highlights the return of experienced, upperclass players at safety and edge positions, the potential at the quarterback position with Mason McKenzie, and notable additions from the transfer portal that add depth to the O-line and skill positions, while noting some uncertainty due to a largely retooled roster and new staff integration.
Ep. 595 - The ACC Weekly Podcast previews 2026 North Carolina Football with @sdhaskell68
Q: And what did you see as North Carolina's final record this year?
There is a wide range of outcomes, but a plausible projection sits around four to eight wins, with potential to reach five to seven or even six and six if the team performs well and avoids injuries, reflecting the variability given schedule toughness and roster developments.
