I really enjoyed this one! The story was engaging, the world and magic system were well developed and the characters were so much fun!
Built by a very creative team, the story goes to some wild places that COULD have crash and burned, but they draw you in and pull it off masterfully! Again, very well done!
For some reason, the side characters are much better actors than the main, who are absolutely diabolically wooden.
I tried to like it.
Too much exposition also.

A dark urban fantasy series set in Texas follows paranormal investigators in a shadowy vigilante world where magic, biotech, and immortal ambitions collide. The Madhouse and The Hundred Handed duel for influence as the Gloom bends reality and tests loyalties, with high-stakes missions, betrayals, and deep lore surrounding tattoo magicians, werecreatures, and sentient tech. Production centers on immersive sound design and a large cast, grounding epic mythos in gritty, character-driven noir. The show stands out for its serialized conspiracies, interwoven backstories, and a willingness to push moral boundaries—ideal for listeners who enjoy complex worldbuilding, twisty power plays, and heavy mythologies in contemporary settings.
