We all know nothing is guaranteed in ultra running, and the longer the race, the higher the jeopardy climbs.
This week, we share the story of two runners who are no strangers to the sharp end of some of the UK’s toughest events. Both lined up at the... more
Gary has been racing! Well… not quite racing, but he definitely wasn’t taking it easy. Either way, he loved his time up on the Moors at the Hardmoors Roseberry Topping Trail Marathon.

This is one of my go to podcasts to accompany me on my long runs. The relationship between Eddie and Gary is so lovely to listen too, like having a pair of old friends nattering away in your ear. I find their endeavours and those of their guests really inspirational and I regularly recommend it to my running friends. Keep up the fantastic work, I love seeing a new episode pop up when I open my podcast app 🤩 x
Love trail running, love tea. Not a fan of this podcast unfortunately. I found the presenters irritating.
Good podcast for trail running, some great knowledgeable guests, only fault a bit 2much waffling on from the two presenters
I started listening a couple of months ago and really enjoy the interviews with runners. The only problem is that to listen to them you have to trudge through the half and hour or so of weekly update of ‘ooh my breakfast was too hot and my knee was a bit niggly before my long run’ or ‘I bought a meal deal on the way home from swimming’ which doesn’t grab my attention at all. Despite this the podcast is well presented and produced but not for me.
The AI for the episode description and guest intros is terrible. Other than that solid running chat but #ad heavy

This show centers on trail running, ultramarathons, coaching, race reports, and behind-the-scenes stories from the endurance community. Episodes mix long-form interviews with athletes, organizers, and photographers, plus practical tips on fueling, gear, and recovery, all delivered in a warm, coffee-chat vibe. A notable strength is the blend of expert insight with personal storytelling, often weaving in family life, parenting, and community events, making it feel like a supportive, inside look at high-mileage running. The format tends to be candid, occasionally humorous, and consistently audience-focused with sponsor reads and community shout-outs that feel integral rather than promotional.
