2025年秋，巴黎举行追思会，悼念流亡多年的中国企业家与民运人士万润南。法广采访了三位与他交往多年的友人——欧洲之声社长廖天琦、中国民主运动海外联席会议秘书长黄慈萍，以及政治学者严家其，听他们谈万润南其人，以及海外中国民主运动的过去与未来。
万润南是上世纪八十年代中国改革开放初期的知名人物，曾创办“四通公司”，后因1989年“六四事件”被迫流亡海外。在流亡岁月中，万润南持续关注中国的政治变革与民主进程，也成为海外民运的重要象征。

几个小时后的10月22日，他的遍布世界各地的友人和同道还将在巴黎洲际酒店格兰德发起全球实体暨视频联系网络追思会，发起人严家祺、廖天琪、吾尔开希、王丹、魏京生、胡平、王军涛。

艺术家马德升是1979年北京星星美展的代表人物，当时艺术家们争取的是维护宪法，艺术自由。1986年，马德升开始旅居法国的生活。三年后，他在电视上看新闻，学生们和市民示威者惨死在北京城的子弹射杀中的六四惨剧被各家媒体纷纷报道。
对星星美展10年之后这场声势浩大的运动，马德升观察到：1989年学生们从反官倒开始，呼声逐渐升温，最后要求轮换政权。这在1979年星星美展时期是不敢想象的。
