I have been clean and sober for over 11 years - going to meetings and everything. I have learned so much from this podcast. I recently realized I’ve been quite complacent in my recovery and have been on a journey to get back to active recovery - this show is great and I am grateful for all the lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 137: Helping Us to Untwist in a Knotted World (featuring Elena Huggins)
Q: Can you talk about that chapter, Undoing the Family, and what it addresses?
In our culture today, we have made family a really low priority, and we're paying the price for that. It often becomes a war zone instead of a sacred space where everyone can be who they are and feel accepted.
Episode 137: Helping Us to Untwist in a Knotted World (featuring Elena Huggins)
Q: What would you say is a good first step for people to find a way to get that knot a little bit less tight?
Honestly, I would say come to Jesus first. Ask Him to show you and to lead you.
Episode 137: Helping Us to Untwist in a Knotted World (featuring Elena Huggins)
Q: How did you figure out how to really lay this out for so many things that could be applied to people?
I wanted it to be for somebody who knows nothing about the mental and emotional health space where they can grasp it and then someone who's very familiar with it, they can probably see. I wanted to simplify it to make sense for everyone.
Episode 136: Discovering the Intuition of Home (featuring Jason Shiers)
Q: Where would you encourage people to begin the step of looking inward?
Start by listening to your body and noticing if there's something in this conversation that resonates with you right now.
Episode 136: Discovering the Intuition of Home (featuring Jason Shiers)
Q: How do you work with people on the whole Intuition of Home approach?
Working with people involves changing their focus from external problems to internal exploration and self-inquiry.
