  • How to talk, how to listen, how to relax

I’m not one of those people who hate Mondays, but some times I have really bad days at work. Seeing this podcast in my feed always fixes a bad Monday.

David talks the way I want a friend to talk to me and when I get the chance to talk to my friends, I hope I sound as friendly, supportive, and genuine as he does. Thanks for making me a better person.

Oh, not to mention how refreshing it is to let go of my hang ups about being a fan versus being a fanatic. I used to think if I didn’t know all... more

  • Lots of interesting fun

It’s great to listen to people like yourself talking about the things you love. You can hear the way they’ve handled problems you’ve had or the similar experiences.

Or listen about something you don’t yet do but want to try, it’ll help you get out there and do it.

  • Fan-tastic

So I’m a bit late to this podcast but it was so a joy listening to David and his countless number of guests talk about some of my favourite things.

If like me your favourite fandoms change on a daily basis this podcast is perfect for you. Really loved the Battlestar Galactica episode and the series on ‘women in tabletop’ month from last year.

Perfect for casual listeners who like to dip in and out of podcasts I can’t recommend this enough!

  • Deep Dive into Content Creators

I have been wonderfully surprised how insightful these episodes have been. Understanding where an artist comes from is quite informative. Tales From the Fandom is doing us all a great service by allowing media creators to talk more about their past. (Which reveals trends and popularizes typically under-appreciated hobbies.)

Really fantastic. Please give it a listen!

  • I like to consider Tales of the Fandom as a sibbling of my own show (I hope the host David G. doesn't mind). The reason is that it is one of the few show which rather than going very deep into the detail of this show, that movie or book collection, it is about the people who love these things. It is about the fan themselves, what is their walk of life, what their fandom has brought to them along their path and so on. It is very positive and cool. The passion of David's guest is contagious. • The Working Man's Nerdist

    Tales From the Fandom

Tales from the Fandom is an absolute delight. If I was to sum TftF up in a neat little package I’d call it “The working man’s nerdist”. As of now I’ve got about four episodes under my belt, including the latest and some other’s that peaked my interest. This podcast covers any topic that has developed a fanbase. From Star Trek to Buffy, with guests from artists to cosplayers. The buffy 20th anniversary episode was especially good. But each episode I’ve heard is worth a lis... more
