Like listening to two friends talking about history in the pub, which is exactly how I like my Welsh history content.
If I wanted to listen to two beer-soaked bores relating their sad lives to each other, I’d go eavesdrop at a Wetherspoons pub. Tedious in the extreme!
As someone who has still not convinced his family to move to Wales, this podcast has kept me connected to Gwlad. Also, the most random intro music still catches me out with each episode.
...Another American fan here (in NYC). Every episode, I learn things about Wales, and crack up multiple times. The hosts are hilarious. So far, I especially love the mythology episodes, but I’m glad there’s such a variety of topics. Been listening for ages, thought I should finally pop a review on for you both
Love the podcast, easy listening, great banter and some genuinely interesting history.
From Swansea but just relocated to Sydney this year as my partner wanted to be close to her family so this podcast really helps scratch the homesickness itch
Only gripe would be sometimes you need to turn the volume up on your recordings but it’s been alright lately to be fair.
