  • Bias

Not bad on Irish topics. Shows total bias on US issues. Instead of trying to see both sides, is yet another tiresome Trump bashing podcast. Mandy casually calling Trump a racist. MSNBC with a shamrock on it.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Is the UK ungovernable & Vegas’ K-shaped economy
Q: What do you think Greenspan's legacy should be remembered for?
He is remembered for guiding the economy through a long period of growth, but also criticized for contributing to the conditions that led to the 2008 crisis through a deregulated financial system and a belief in the self-correcting nature of markets.
Inflation and its many uses
Q: What should policymakers do to help the bottom 20% cope with inflation without relying solely on monetary policy?
Implement targeted fiscal measures such as subsidies for transportation and food, expand welfare programs for the most vulnerable, and fund public housing to improve affordability and long-term balance sheets.
Inflation and its many uses
Q: Why doesn't AI immediately move the needle on enterprise EBIT according to the McKinsey state of AI?
Because many deployments are ad hoc and in silos, the cost of new technology is high, and benefits take time to materialize across an enterprise; broader, coordinated implementation is required.
Inflation and its many uses
Q: What is the realistic path for AI adoption in businesses today?
Adopt AI where it clearly adds value by solving well-defined problems, avoid equating AI with an automatic boost to earnings, and ensure there is a structured, tested plan rather than a rush to deploy the latest model.
Netflix Tourism and the end of Low-Cost Travel
Q: How important is the role of film studios and government funding in shaping tourism destinations?
Government funding and dedicated studios (e.g., Studio Ulster) enable realistic location recreations and attract productions, which in turn boosts visitor numbers, local jobs, and related economic activity.
