Reviews

4.8 out of 5 stars from 30 ratings
  • Terrible editing

Content is very good, guests are very good, but the podcasts is unlistenable. The ads will interrupt mid sentence and play at 200% volume. Problem has been ongoing for months now but I guess nobody cares

Creative Accounting
Q: If there is only one thing you see a new government adopt in the policies you are proposing, what do you consider the most important?
Ensuring strong safety nets to avoid homelessness is job number one, involving immediate action for 300,000 Canadian households at risk of homelessness.
Creative Accounting
Q: Is cutting taxes off new homes a good start for the Housing Canada Coalition?
Cutting taxes off new homes is good, but a comprehensive approach is needed, focusing on various factors including community-based housing.
Creative Accounting
Q: If there's some scenario, let's agree, that America has lost its mind and decides that it wants to just have permanent trade barriers, let's say they're 10 percent, what does that mean for the market?
Companies feel uncertain, consumers feel uncertain. No one's quite sure where things will settle, which is why there's friction in the markets right now.
Creative Accounting
Q: Is it fair to say that the government that's in power and has been in power... should have a better grasp on all of that than the government that's been in the opposition?
There probably is a modest advantage for the incumbent government due to access to more data and the same key teams, but bureaucracies are ready to brief both major parties.
Creative Accounting
Q: Were you surprised that we don't see any kind of real effort on any major political party's part to get us to balance?
There is no effort really to get to balance in any of the platforms; trying to keep the deficits modest relative to the size of the economy, but no hard constraints that would force political leaders to make necessary trade-offs.
