Dear god the tv show is boring. Action bowling MADE the PBA in the 70’s-90’s and into the 2000’s. Roth and PB3 and many of the pros started out with pot games and action matches then said “I’ll try the PBA.” So they knew pressure and they knew mind games. Trip 4? Slap those hands and point at the other guy. 5-bagger? Hit the knee and shake the fist. Trip 10? Yell so the other guy KNOWS something good happened. Tell your opponent you’re worried because it’s getting slicker, and watch him leave a... more
I’ve tried to listen to these guys for five months now. I’ve tried to be patient but I just can’t take their persistent negativity anymore. Not always, but majority of the time they go on and on about how wrong everything and everyone is. “bro” this and “bro” that… condescending and arrogant. Life is too short to expose oneself to this. I’m done.
EJ scared of throwing urethane up the chute. Jesper scared of resin. Rob scared of me. Mike scared of sport (when it counts). Observations on 6-11-24
The tv show has become less than great. The shot makers of past years would destroy today’s players on tv. Gutter balls after 6-baggers, 6-1 for a frame by arguably the best on the planet in a major (Simo)… the tv show is not quality play. Maybe it’s the new oils reaction to lights and heat?
I just want to see the best bowling their best on TV, and it doesn’t feel like it anymore
Love the show, listening my way through the archive and up to season 3 now. Listening to you guys chop it up with amazing guests and hearing stories and legends of my home center Fountain Bowl makes me wish I was able to be active in the early 2000s. I’m in my mid 40s now and I’ve recently started talking up Barry Asher and going to Mark Bakers Westpac Training center next month. If you guys are ever visiting So. California I would love to bowl with you guys. Maybe not for action but after I sta... more
