  • Nov 10. Swimming

Your title said How to get better at swimming in the off-season. Not one thing was mentioned. The whole podcast was limited in any tips related to triathlons.

  • Learn to use a mic. Some good content presented in the poorest way possible.

The audio quality of some of these podcasts is unbelievably bad. Ridiculous. There is some useful info on training if you can deal with the ear strain of trying to make it out. Seriously need to get their production sorted

The Two Engines of Endurance Performance
Q: How should athletes approach off-season time, especially when chasing long-term performance?
Off-season should not mean total inactivity; keep movement and some conditioning alive to avoid big downswings, while allowing tissues to recover and adapt without huge fluctuations in physiology.
The Two Engines of Endurance Performance
Q: You've qualified for Kona now a couple of times, but last year you couldn't go due to injury—what did that experience teach you about the importance of balance?
It reinforced that success isn't defined by a single race; the journey and the person you become matter more, and injuries force a reframing to respect both the aerobic and musculoskeletal engines for long-term progress.
Reviving the Superfly Coaching Podcast: Embracing Change and New Beginnings
Q: Would you recommend doing a 100 by 100 swim session on New Year's Day?
Adam suggests it can be a good social event but may not necessarily lead to improvement year to year for all athletes.
