The show has a great mix of irreverent chat between the hosts, long time mates from school. The banter between them does add something to the show. It’s like earwigging a conversation down the pub. The choice of guests is very eclectic. Everyone from minor players in the 90s music scene to some really heavy hitters. I never miss an episode!
Brilliant podcast. Great hosts and guests, really funny.
Luke, Neil and Dave never fail to entertain and educate me with their ramblings and interviews with some of the UK indie bands from the 90’s. Whether you’re into Britpop, Grebo, grunge, grindcore, riot grrrl, etc., there’s something here for everyone. Give it a listen. You won’t regret it.
Being exactly the same age as the podcasters, this podcast has the feel of being out in the pub reminiscing about the music we loved. An incredible array of guests and an impressive number of wangs. I also love the number of times they say “yeah” which is obviously in tribute to The Wedding Present single “yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah”, isn’t it?
Subscribed to listen to the Carter USM episodes, but the interviewer talks over the guests, with a near constant string of “yeah, yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah” to the point I was swearing at my phone until I had to turn it off, sorry
