Such an incredibly helpful podcast. My kiddo and I learn so much from every episode!!
I love the podcast and have even started her coaching program. Korrie is a fabulous musician and knows so much about musical theater. I’m so glad she’s going to be adding some new podcasts!
Studying the song podcast with Korrie Yamoaka is now one of my favorite podcasts!
There is a lot of overwhelm everywhere right now but I see it especially in the arts — and I feel it myself. This podcast feels so luxurious in that it really breaks down each step that is essential for success and helps you repackage, redefine, and renew your joy in the industry and your place in it.

Korrie has created an amazing resource for singing actors here. She has deep knowledge and presents it in a way that is clear and organized but also breezy and engaging. Whether you’re a student or a professional you’ll find great value in this podcast!
Thank you Korrie for sharing this gift with us! What a tremendous resource for all the most powerful musical theater actor tools that forge a path toward paid gigs. I wish these kind of practical strategies were laid out so clearly when I was coming up!
From what to put in your audition book, to how to cut your bars, to the acting and “moment before”…you have hit so many crucial factors to get the call back and book the job 🤍
I have personally had the privilege of coaching my musical theatre work with Korrie and each episode feels like a private coaching in the car, or on my walk. She does such an amazing job explaining complex music and acting concepts in an easy to understand fashion. I have already started recommending this podcast to my students who are interested in musical theatre and will absolutely be including it in my curriculum planning.
What a wonderful podcast for Musical Theatre performers!! As an educator, I may abandon the textbook I use and just require students to listen to this FANTASTIC podcast! 💛
Korrie is a generous fountain of knowledge. She genuinely wants to help you nail that next audition, but also celebrate your unique artistic style! In the short time I’ve been listening to this podcast, I’ve already gleaned so much wisdom that I’ve shared with my own voice students and have applied in my own personal development.
Wow, listening to Korrie’s podcasts has helped me focus my singing with intention. Although not a theater performer, her insight into the intention of performance resonates well for other venues. I just listened to the March 21, 2021 episode, The #1 Missing Ingredient in Your Rock Audition, and found myself saying “YES” throughout. Singers of all variety need to learn these techniques. Korrie is the real deal!
Let me start first off by saying that Korrie has a warm rich tone to her speaking voice that immediately makes you sit up and want to listen. Her insight is invaluable and her effortless way of blending the psychological, physical, social, and visceral impact of a song and the artist essence “attitude” is spot on! If you want to under what means to give an “authentic” rock musical audition you need to listen!
Jam-packed with so much knowledge. She’s honest, smart, and authentic. Love it.
Korrie is a fantastic host and knows so much about musical theater and vocal performance. Give this podcast a listen!
