From rebellion leaders to scream queens and everything in-between, women have shaped sci-fi and fantasy since its inception. Each week Fangrrls founder & managing editor Cher Martinetti, contributing editor and author Preeti Chhibber, and associate editor Courtney Enlow celebrate the countless badass women in geek culture through funny, witty, and unfiltered deep dives into the nerdverse.

OMG, how fun is this show?! It's basically 3 women sitting around geeking out about everything nerdy and celebrating all the strong women I LOVE in film & TV (from Mulan to Buffy). And it feels like I'm have a long lunch with my girlfriends having a fun and nerdy chat. Love it!
We need more podcasts like this and I'm glad this one existed while it did.
Such a great pod! The hosts bring different fandoms and experiences and always have engaging discussions.
Such a great pod! Fun hosts highlighting important topics. Highly recommended.
Truthfully I have zero idea what ‘thirst’ and ‘frak, marry, kill’ episodes have to do with strong female characters—it’s not my cup of tea but to each their own I suppose—but I highly recommend the Forgotten Women of Genre series that’s tucked in randomly as bonus episodes. Those are brilliant and I really hope there’s more along that lines in the pipes. Truly enjoy most of the podcasts but not a massive fan of the thirst and FMK episodes. That’s personal taste and not a knock on the overall pod... more
Funny, insightful, and full of feels, It’s like meeting up with my own geekery experts for pastries and hot chocolate after work to hear the latest scoops from wonderful works of genre. I deeply appreciate Cher’s punk rock personality, Courtney’s take-no-prisoners enthusiasm and Preeti’s positivity all of which create a progressive and preserved space to be geek. Keep up the good fight and thanks.
Firstly, this podcast is worth listening to for Preeti's giggles in the background. It's delightful. I admit, I started backwards with most recent episodes since I heard Evie from the Mummy was mentioned, but I soon knew I loved the podcast. Feminist geek discussions with an ensemble, BOOK recommendations, con coverage - what's not to love?
I’ve waited too long to review, but I couldn’t help it, I was too busy catching up on ALL the episodes! Now maybe I can get some work done...
In all seriousness, listening to these awesome ladies has helped me realize I am not alone! They use phrases I use which I rarely hear from others, they love many of the same obscure films, TV shows, etc., I was under the impression I was alone in loving. It’s so refreshing to hear them discuss the things I love, whether our opinions are the same or not... more
I'm 63, a sci-fi & fantasy geek since before those were even terms, and I LOVE this podcast although it's def not made for people like me. Love the energy, the buzz the presenters bring, and the proud stroppy feminism.
I hate that this is a thing nowadays, fake... fake... fake. Stop pushing woke garbage.
This podcast is my new favorite thing!! I’ve spent the last 3 years of college studying representation in genre films and sometimes I don’t feel like I’m taken seriously because of it, but listening to Courtney, Preeti, and Cher helped me realize that there are other women like me out there who have a love for the nerdverse and that as women our voices and opinions are valid and can/should be taken seriously. This podcast never fails to inspire me and I can’t recommend it enough!
If you are a nerd girl and love talking nerdy things...this is the podcast for you! This sounds like my friends and I when we get together and I’m here for it! Courtney, Preeti, and Cher bring great enthusiasm to discuss women and the nerd-verse and it is a great time for all, whether sitting and listening at work or listening to it while working out or letting it enhance a long drive! Thanks for helping me express my nerd self all the time!
We also love geek and nerd stuff. This podcast is everything to me. I’m actively sad when I reach the end if the episode, and realize I’ll have to wait another week to kick back and rage against the capitalist patriarchy machine. I love all of you!
I am not always up to date on the different fan worlds, but no matter what I enjoy listening to you all discuss them. I love listening to your conversations about the amazing women out there, as well as the bits of pop culture that I sometimes have forgotten about or need more info on. So great! Thank you for all of the work you put into this podcast!
I had never heard of this show or the hosts, but someone recommended a specific episode to me, and I immediately followed that up with their recent episode about Avengers: Endgame. I love the enthusiasm of the hosts, and they gave me a perspective I wasn't seeing elsewhere. I've since subscribed, and I'm a happy listener. :)
