After a rewatch of Invaders from Mars, I searched for a pod that discussed that film and stumbled across Still Any Good.
The hosts Chris and Rob are a similar age as me, with very similar histories of film watching in the 80s and 90s (with a handful of films before and after those decades).
The have great film geek knowledge, can laugh at a movie without being snide, and most importantly their friendship shines through their discussions.
Highly recommended!!

I have a teenager and as well as being funny and entertaining, this helps prevent me from “forcing” my child to watch old movies with me that are no longer any good!
Really enjoyable and funny discussion in each episode about a specific film, great chat knowledge and humour. Good fun whether you know the film well, vaguely remember the film or haven’t even seen the film.
A brilliant podcast! The hosts’ warmth, knowledge, and genuine friendship make Still Any Good an absolute joy to listen to. Their deep dives into films are both insightful and entertaining, with a perfect mix of nostalgia, humor, and thoughtful critique. It feels like catching up with old friends who really know their stuff. Highly recommended!
I always love when a new episode drops - even more so when I’ve seen the film. Like listening to informed mates in the pub, naturally pulling me into the convo. Thanks for all your efforts!
