Q: After the success of Real Big on your debut album, why didn't you follow up with a second single to promote The Mind of Mannie Fresh?
They discussed the challenges of chart strategy and the overall reception of early work, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of what becomes a hit and how the team pivoted to other projects and collaborations instead of a second single.
Shakur Stevenson on Boxing, Discipline, Doubters & Staying Focused | Still 400
Q: What does discipline look like in your daily life?
Discipline means going to the gym every day, constantly refining techniques, and staying away from distractions that derail focus, even when away from competition for long periods.
David Banner on Black Identity, Power Structures, and Owning Your Work | Ep.15
Q: If there was one thing that you would change about what you did, what would that thing be?
I think I would have paid attention to business more, knowing that the record companies and everybody want to win, no matter what.
