I just absolutely loved this podcast. But recently you guys have really degenerated to the lowest common denominator of Star Wars fandom: you “love” Star Wars so much that your comments more toxic than positive. Now you just literally sound like three guys sitting in your basements nitpicking because that’s what “Star Wars fans do.” While I recognize that every fandom deserves criticism, so does your podcast – which used to be a wonderful environment. Not so much anymore.
Not many podcasts give Echo from The Bad Batch the love he deserves, so that alone makes this my favorite Star Wars podcast, but they have an episode about Battle for Endor (yes i know it's bad but I love it)! The fresh and insightful discussions around the Star Wars universe has taught me a ridiculous amount, and helped me see the films in a new light, despite having spent my life loving them. Few podcasts challenge your perspective without dismissal or mockery, but Outer Rim Beacon actually do... more
This was my first podcast to try in probably over a decade, starting earlier this year, and I've really enjoyed it ever since starting it. The friendly banter between the hosts is a lot of fun. Christopher's flipflop on Episode IX though was worse than a politician changing positions when seeking re-election. Star Wars has always been about stories of found family, of misfits choosing to band together. This is why I’m so happy to have joined the Star Wars Friends. I joined up when Steven Ray Morris did a guest spot and I’ve been fan ever since. I’m so happy to have found a place that is committed to fostering inclusivity which is so important to me as a queer fan of Star Wars. I look forward to spending more time chatting Star Wars with you guys!
This podcast is by people who love Star Wars and it fully comes though. They are the type of fellow fans you’d love to sit in the cantina with and swap stories with honestly. Covering all facets of our beloved galaxy far far away but always with love, positivity, and inclusion. I’m thankful to have found them.
