  • Weekly pearls of wisdom.

Very insightful. Daniel Crosby combines meaning, wellness, purpose, and finance to provide a comprehensive

perspective on happiness, wholeness, and well-being. Full of knowledge bombs and memorable quotes. I love his book, Soul of Wealth. This podcast covers different but complementary concepts. Looking forward to his next book!

  • Used to be great

This podcast used to offer insightful content, but it has taken a disappointing turn. Recent episodes feel unfocused and meandering, lacking the clarity and substance that once defined the show. Dr. Crosby’s commentary, which now resembles overreliance on AI-generated language, gives the impression of forced depth without meaningful insight. What once felt thoughtful now comes across as incoherent and self-indulgent.

  • Fascinating conversations

Daniel brings a unique expertise to the area of investment and behavioral psychology, sharing ideas in an easy to understand way for the everyday listener. He has a great balance between letting his guests speak about their experiences, while adding his own thoughts throughout the conversation. I was hooked right away!

  • Great podcast for behavioral finance

There are lots of experts in the world. However, there are fewer who are really interesting to listen to. And then there are even fewer who are clever, insightful, and informed. DANIEL is one of those people who offers great insight with a very human touch. If you have not listened to Daniel Crosby, you’ve got to check him out!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jamie Hopkins - Your Retirement Sketchbook
Q: What is the most surprising thing you've learned about happiness and retirement that has nothing to do with money?
Loneliness and community engagement matter far more for happiness in retirement than money alone; being surrounded by a supportive community and having meaningful activities dramatically influence well-being, sometimes more than financial security.
Marla Sofer - AI and BeFi: Why Tech and Human First Advice Go Together
Q: In the medium term, how do you see the role of a financial advisor changing with respect to AI?
AI will be powered by high-quality, zero-party data to produce actionable, personalized insights. Advisors should use AI to understand clients' true motivations and readiness for change, rather than relying on generic data or surveillance-style inputs, enabling more meaningful conversations and faster, more relevant outcomes.
Brad Johnson - Live from Future Proof
Q: How do you take people, kick them into gear, and help them implement the things that they know already work?
Encourage advisors to commit to one actionable item from their learning and to shift their mindset from individual contributor to team-oriented leadership.
Brad Johnson - Live from Future Proof
Q: Can you help put some meat on the bones of culture and what distinguishes that high-growth culture from that mediocre culture?
High-growth culture is built on intentional shared beliefs and the nurturing of growth, avoiding complacency and requiring accountability.
Brad Johnson - Live from Future Proof
Q: What mindset differences do you notice between advisors who are barely getting by and the ones who are two to four X-ing their business?
Successful advisors believe in their purpose and actively create inspiring narratives, while those barely getting by settle into a 'lifestyle practice' mentality.
