Spirit Talk Show: Bedtime Stories for Grown Ups is unlike any podcast I've been on. Doyle is a gracious host who knows how to make guests feel comfortable while keeping the conversation engaging and thoughtful. The co-hosts add their own perspectives and commentary, creating the feeling of sitting around with friends rather than listening to an interview. One of my favorite features is the original story and poem they create for each guest—a creative, personal touch that makes every episode memo... more
I was absolutely blown away by the sheer amount of pre-show effort executed by Doyle and Howie...seriously! Over the past 3+ decades, I have enjoyed life as a Radio Personality, Stand-up Comedian, Keynote Speaker, Visualization Strategist, Storyteller, Humor Coach and more. I've been blessed to be a featured guest on more than 300 podcasts and broadcasts around the world, and there were flavors from EVERY PART of my life included here! Without a doubt, I have never seen such dedication to prepa... more
It was such a pleasure speaking with Doyle and Howie - they make a great team! Our conversation flowed easily and naturally, exploring meaningful ideas about the power of early childhood experiences and the importance of “unlearning” what no longer serves us through creativity. And of course, some poetry and storytelling read aloud by both gentleman!
The conversations just feels like speaking to an old friend. It seems like they can really just have a natural conversation with people.
Maybe just the episode I listened to but felt like it was ill prepared and a bit lacking in banter.

The show centers on intimate, human-centered conversations that blend personal memory with creativity. Across episodes, guests range from authors and musicians to therapists and life-coaches, often exploring trauma, healing, spirituality, and the craft of storytelling. Live readings, poetry, and AI-assisted storytelling are common, with a warm, unguarded vibe that invites vulnerability, authenticity, and practical insights for living more fully. A standout throughline is reclaiming voice—whether through memoir, fiction, or performance—and using storytelling as a path to connection, growth, and resilience.
