HBO’s Boardwalk Empire has come to it’s inevitable conclusion, and A.Ron and Jim are at peace with it. In fact, we think it’s beautiful and painful in a way that Boardwalk finales tend to be, if not more so. Things get dusty when fathers say goodby... more
In this Speakeasy podcast, covering episode 507 of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, “Friendless Child”, Jim talks A.Ron off a ledge, they decide to write their own perfect conclusion to the series, they marvel at the level of dishevelment Eli Thompson brings ... more
Jim and A.Ron get down to the business of talking about episode 506 of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, “Devil You Know”. We say good bye to some old friends, witness shocking introductions in the Silver Age, observe more evidence of #9’s identity, and watch... more
This week’s pod covers all the action for Boardwalk Empire episode 505, the “King of Norway”. In it we do a deep dive on Doctor Cotton, discuss the amazing Silver Age Nucky brought to us by the talented Marc Pickering, the always entertaining comedy... more
Jim and A.Ron cover the mid-point of Boardwalk Empire, episode 504, “Cuanto”. We ponder the ultimate fate of Nucky, if the Commodore and Sheriff Hammer are playing good cop / bad cop with Lil’ Nucky’s soul, if Capone is playing possum about knowledg... more
Welcome back to The Speakeasy, where we consider episode 503 of Boardwalk Empire, “What Jesus Said.” Jim and A.Ron talk about the surfeit of “boys” and “uckys” in Boardwalk, smooth dialog, the sad state of Nucky’s nightclub in the hands of Mickey Do... more
Jim and A.Ron break down a very “boardwalky” episode of Boardwalk Empire, “The Good Listener”. We talk about the Kennedy Family Empire, speculate on who Gillian is corresponding with, marvel at Stephen Graham’s performance as the coke/syphilis addle... more
Boardwalk Empire is officially back, and we’re here to cover its swan song. A.Ron is more than a little nervous about all the apparently pointless and redundant flashbacks when coming to grips with a shortened season that starts off with a huge time... more
Love these guys
Thank you for your hard work and producing such entertaining and delightful podcasts.
Fantastic podcast as usual from Bald Move. I only wish these guys had the time to go back and do the first four seasons, since I'm only just now getting to the show.
Bald Move has the absolute best podcasts for some of the best television programs on iTunes. Their “Speakeasy” podcast for Boardwalk Empire is particularly good. Great insights, calm and intelligent analysis (unlike those horrible AfterBuzz idiots), and with a real love for the show. Keep up the good work, boys.
I'm sad to see BE come to an end but grateful to see this season off with the Bald Move guys. As always, smart, insightful, and funny. These guys don't take themselves too seriously and they never shill.
Insightful, humorous and addictive.

Aron and Jim are the best. Listening to their podcasts is a highlight of my day. I used to listen to music on my iPod. Now it is just Bald Move all the way. Good television and Bald Move podcasts go hand in hand. R
love that they do the research to enhance the shows themes and characters. i find myself wanting to watch the episodes again just to go back and see the little details they point out. Love the liquid awesome, keep it up!
Been waiting for this
Great job with this guys. Wish you had did this since season one. I'd love if you guys could do under the dome. I just finished the first season. What about catching up through the first two house of cards style through instant casts? Some parts of the show will drive you crazy, but I'd love to hear it.
The Bald Move team gets to the heart of each show with insightful and intelligent commentary. Now they are covering one of my all-time favorite shows, Boardwalk Empire. Thanks gentlemen.
Always great insights, always fun to listen too. Thanks.
It’s good to see you guys do a third good show in BWE behind BB & MM. Too bad your talents are wasted on some of the worst shows ever in GOT, WD, The Leftovers. I can’t believe Jim doesn’t want to do a Homeland podcast but would even consider watching Gotham or Constantine that are the typical network junk making too many episodes in season with the who cares to begin with element. Also why isn’t there a 24 to full style Sons of Anarchy podcast? That show is better and worth covering how it ends... more
Jim and A-Ron give their real opinions on BWE. I'm happy they are covering this last season.
Not everyone succeeds at paying attention to the craft of TV while remaining entertaining. Bald Move definitely does.
