Lex and Brian are back, and certainly missed you, dear listener. Sam’s back too, and Dana’s a bit “psyched out”. Meanwhile, the team lands an interview with Michael Jordan, but turns out there are strings attached; and Casey has to figure out how to ... more
Dan and Casey cover a boxing match. Or at least, they try to. There are a couple challenges, including The Cut Man, a fast TKO, and Dan’s dad being a jerk. Luckily, neither Brian nor Lex is a jerk, nor do they insist you call them Cut Man. They just ... more
Cracks are forming in Dana’s dating plan while Dan is recruiting a reluctant Isaac for a special feature on, you guessed it, the Giants winning the pennant back in 1951. Sure, Lex and Brian are wondering how Sorkin continues to pick the strangest tit... more

Enjoyable tour through the Sorkin canon. Hope they continue and go through the West Wing too.
I have never watched anything by Sorkin but love this show. I enjoy listening to people geek out about things they are interested in, and the dynamic between Lex and Brian really works.
Podcasts have already focused on the West Wing, but there is a viewpoint of the person who really likes Sorkin that is uncovered, until now. The motifs — or, if you are feeling nasty, the recycled plot elements — and the evolution of a writer really only come out with a broader perspective. Brian and Lex are doing the work to explore that, and I recommend you listen along (or maybe start with the back catalog if you feel about Sports Night as I do)
Fantastic podcast not just for the content but the presenters (Brian and Lex) have the best rapport and bounce off each other in such a chill way. The format is great (single episode recaps) so you don’t have to know lots of history of the shows or movies. Currently watching along with Sports Night episodes and each episode I realise I’ve missed so much Lex and Brian pick up in their recaps. Well worth a listen if you’re a fan of Sorkin’s work.
Washing dishes, weeding garden beds, folding towels. All go down smoother with Alex and Brian talking through a rewatch of an old favourite (Sports Night). Thanks guys.
