I felt that Sophie in particular really gave us a picture of her practice and how to work within the ED ourselves. There were great pointers on how to progress in your career such as adding on projects or committee work into your everyday pra... more

Episode 139: Charlotte
Q: How did your path lead you into crisis refuges and the homelessness space for young people?

Episode 139: Charlotte
Q: What got you into the profession and drew you to social work in the first place?

He describes two key placements—one with a local authority children and families team in Borders and Galashiels and a voluntary sector placement in Pilton, Edinburgh—that steered him toward child and family work and ultimately into a paid role in Pilton; this laid the groundwork for his later focus on specialized areas like harmful sexual behavior in children and families.
