  • I like podcast but

I listen to all the episodes and every single time TJ comes on I cringe. His personality is arrogant and abrasive. I just fastforward till he’s not in the segment/rotation.

I honestly cannot handle hearing his takes or his input/opinion because of this. It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Sorry, Bill isn’t much better but I would pick Bill over TJ if I had to pick who I had to listen to.

  • The best SNL podcast here

Have been a fan of SNL since 1989 and a fan of this podcast for the last couple years. It is analytical, fun, and awesome podcast.

I love Jon Sneider, Bill Kenny, Mike Murray and most of the commentators, except TJ, his abrasive personality really turns me off and I usually don’t listen to his episodes. But other than that, I love the three podcasts they have after every new episode. I love the countdowns they have every summer and going through their back catalogue is a treat.

  • Keep it up!

TJ is awesome. Amanda is awesome. The main host and Bill Kenney are the greatest. By the Numbers is analytical, funny, and entertaining. Keep it up y’all. And thanks for the effort during the off season!

  • Too Much Liberal Nonsense

I decided to check out the hot take show, after SNL’s (terrible) new episode last night. These panelists can’t keep their garbage liberal views out of the discussion.

Also, Bill Kenney is a sack of excrement.

Ryan Gosling / Gorillaz SNL By The Numbers - S51 E14
Q: Question five, who do you think will join the five-timers club next, given the current landscape and close contenders?
Bill discussed a shortlist of possible future five-timers (Driver, Gosling, Chappelle, Ham, others), noting reputational considerations and past schedules, while acknowledging that Gosling's recent hosting makes him a likely candidate but not guaranteed to be the very next one.
Ryan Gosling / Gorillaz SNL By The Numbers - S51 E14
Q: Question number three, Veronica and Ashley mentioned at Danger Watch how well they've done in rookie/sophomore years. Does this feel like a passing of the torch, and what are your thoughts on the cast's future with these two leading the pack?
Bill highlighted Veronica and Ashley as standout rookies, framing it as a shift in leadership and power dynamics on the show, with Veronica leading the cast in this episode's momentum and Ashley continuing to dominate despite the tough year for standups.
Ryan Gosling / Gorillaz SNL By The Numbers - S51 E14
Q: Question 2, in the SNL Top 50 Host Countdown, did this episode move Gosling's ranking up or down for you, and how would you rate his overall standing after this appearance?
Bill expressed that Gosling's ranking should be higher than some contemporary hosts and suggested he belongs mid-30s range, noting the episode solidified Gosling as a strong fit for the show's mold.
Ryan Gosling / Gorillaz SNL By The Numbers - S51 E14
Q: Tell me your thoughts on the passing notes sketch. Was this by design, maybe for this host and did you lean into it? Would you want to see this replicated with any other hosts, or was this Gosling-dependent?
Bill found it exciting and unique, but felt it would be more interesting with a host who doesn't break as easily, suggesting the format could work with others but is especially special with Gosling's energy.
