  • Great podcast!!

Great but please get the person that is doing the “hosting” to prep better or work on speaking skills, it’s a little hard to follow with all the mispronounced stuff and doesn’t seem professional.

  • The content is solid.

The topics and content is great. The cringe factor has become extremely high with the moderator. My advice is to stop attempting to be the cutesy girl who doesn’t exactly “get it”. You can moderate and make things easy to understand without sounding like you lack competence. I hope that this feedback lands and is helpful.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

[TIPS] Classification Best Practices: Building a Defensible Foundation
Q: And Ashley, what about that argument that a producer in another country claims it is their product and insists the classification is theirs?
The correct approach is to collect complete product details and verify classifications against US rules, recognizing that classification can vary by country and that the end importer bears responsibility for accuracy, often requiring independent verification rather than accepting supplier claims.
[TIPS] Don’t Set It and Forget It: Why CTPAT Still Matters
Q: How can organizations strengthen their CtPAT programs and avoid the 'set it and forget it' trap?
By creating an ongoing, revocable program that is regularly reviewed and updated, with explicit ownership across departments and a clear reason why each action matters, not just on an annual basis but as a living policy.
[TIPS] Don’t Set It and Forget It: Why CTPAT Still Matters
Q: What are you gonna talk about today?
We're focusing on CtPAT programs, how they often sit on the shelf, and practical ways to strengthen and action them across the organization, from the warehouse floor to IT and HR.
[TIPS] What Do the World Cup and Beyoncé Have in Common?
Q: Why is it important to consider Carnets even if tariff uncertainty exists?
Carnets provide a predictable way to manage duties and taxes across borders, potentially lowering overall costs when handled correctly, even if tariffs are unclear, because they simplify the paperwork and prevent overpayments.
[TIPS] What Do the World Cup and Beyoncé Have in Common?
Q: How do Carnets help when moving equipment for a global event like a world tour or the World Cup?
Carnets streamline temporary imports and exports, reducing or eliminating duties on equipment that is not intended for sale, such as cameras, staging gear, and exhibition booths, when it returns home after the event.
