I would follow Mischa Stanton and their wonderful sound design anywhere in podcasting. This podcast holds a very specific place in my library. It's a good thing, I promise! This is my sleep podcast. It's so comforting to me. I am vaguely familiar with Kingdom Hearts, and do enjoy the lore and education, but more often than not, I fall asleep to it. It results in memorable, adventurous, positive dreams. As someone with insomnia, this is important.
I loved the games when I was younger and this is getting me ready for kh4.

A deep-dish discussion with two enthusiastic hosts that unwraps Kingdom Hearts lore, world-building, and the series' evolving design philosophies. Regular episodes mix game mechanics, storytelling, character arcs, and fan culture with playful banter, personal memories, and thoughtful commentary on how KH's magical misdirection, cross-property mashups, and meta-narratives shape a broad, devoted community. The show frequently connects game systems (items, summons, magic) to larger themes like nostalgia, identity, and fandom dynamics, while inviting listener questions and occasional sponsor reads. Noteworthy is the hosts' knack for balancing rigorous lore talk with accessible storytelling, plus their willingness to explore tangential topics (p... more
