  • I understand you need to monetize the podcast, and I respect that.

But lately the balance feels way off — it honestly sounds like 70% ads and only 30% real content. The constant and lengthy ad segments are overwhelming and make it hard to stay engaged.

I’m saying this as someone who genuinely enjoys the show. But if this doesn’t change and the ad load stays this heavy, I’ll probably stop listening.

  • Good content, annoying ads

Great quick tips. But like 50% of the entire thing is ads. Super disappointing money grab :(

  • Too many ads

It could be way better if they didn’t have that many ads on very short episodes.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 3440 - Q&A: “What's the best platform for my idea?”
Q: Hi Chris, this is Ray, and I've been following the show for a couple of years. Is there such a thing as being platform agnostic? I think a lot of people get their ideas for a business by looking at Instagram or TikTok or some other app, then developing a version of whatever seems to be working.
Yes, you can absolutely be platform agnostic, and many people do start that way. It's often better to keep that mindset because platforms and networks come and go, so the core focus should be on the business fundamentals and your idea rather than chasing a moving target.
Ep. 3437 - Q&A: “How do I best prioritize next steps?”
Q: Should I build up my Instagram following before reaching out to influencers, and how should I balance content creation with outreach?
Focus on demonstrating how the product improves lives and use content strategy to attract the right audience; you don't need a huge follower count to gain traction—quality engagement and clear value propositions matter more; combine product-led content with targeted relationship-building and partnerships.
Ep. 3437 - Q&A: “How do I best prioritize next steps?”
Q: Is cold emailing the best way to connect with potential sales avenues, and how should it be done without sounding like an annoying salesperson?
Cold emails can work in certain situations (e.g., wholesale or partner outreach) when they're concise, relevant, and framed as a value offer rather than a hard sell; tailor outreach to the recipient and aim for mutual benefit.
Ep. 3444 - Q&A: “How do I choose a revenue model for my coaching business?”
Q: How do I choose a revenue model for my coaching business?
Start with one core service, nail the core value and the offering, then expand later with additional programs or income streams once the foundation is solid.
Ep. 3441 - Q&A: “Can I file a small claims suit against a big business?”
Q: Do you think I should take this approach, and who should I file against when a business changes hands?
Yes, you should consider small claims as a practical route, preferably starting with the party you had a clear contract with (often the old owner) and then evaluating whether to involve the new owner or others if necessary.
