  • Cured my eyesight, not my dice rolls.

These lads have created a miracle product. Their banter, hobby talk, and general Flames of War/Team Yankee discussion are so incredible that they’ve cured my sauerkraut factory accident related blindness. Cabbage blighted sight aside, I unfortunately can now see my failed cross check rolls with the utmost clarity. Worth it? You decide.

  • 2nd best Flames of War Podcast on the interweb.

As Gary P Nunn once stated, “I can substantiate the rumor that the English sense of humor is dryer than the Texas sand”. 2nd place should be familiar to them. The English have been coming in 2nd place since 1776. Very informative and marginally funny, if you play Flames, give these guys a listen.

  • So good

I truly love this podcast. An entertaining threesome who play off each other well, the hosts delve into all aspects of the Battlefront wargame Flames of War, and its associated games in other time periods. The trio povides some great insight into painting, list building, and playing, all with good attention to actual historical units and scenarios. This podcast is great to listen to in the background as you paint up your next force.

  • Very good coverage

Great podcast, a little rambly so play at 1.5 speed or keep it in the background. But overall the coverage is good. Also you can reach out to them and they happily engage.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 120 - The one where we are 8 away from a Sturer Emil
Q: What would you do to combat the issue of car parks of vehicles appearing in media seen unwound?
You make it more abstract by stating that it doesn't matter if one unit is not behind terrain; the terrain counts for the majority.
Episode 118 118 - The One Where We Have Your Number
Q: What should players consider when faced with Panzerfaust armed infantry?
Players should utilize direct fire smoke, maintain maneuverability, and consider using artillery support to mitigate the threat of Panzerfausts.
Episode 125mm - The one where we have advanced stabilizers and 99 luftballons
Q: Do you think this is probably why we won't be seeing smaller Special Forces units, or is the game too big for such small units?
It's hard for them to have a place in Team Yankee because they are often off doing things away from where we're playing.
Episode 125mm - The one where we have advanced stabilizers and 99 luftballons
Q: Why do you think we don't see many specific units or regiments in Team Yankee like Rangers or Commandos?
The actual special elite units aren't that evident in the scale that we're playing, which makes it hard to represent them in the game.
