Unfollowed because I don’t need 7 posts a day in my podcast feed. Content is good. Post full episodes not cut up and I will follow again.

  • Love this show

I really appreciate how this show remains balanced. Even though the hosts’ political views sometimes shine through, I admire how Shaye and the guests keep things neutral while holding guests accountable. Your show helps me stay centered politically in a world where it's so easy to lean far right or left. It's such a refreshing change from some one sided news outlets. Keep up the fantastic work, Sara and Shaye! Sorry if I spelt you names wrong

  • Intolerable

Tried, really tried to listen to morning Shaye after Danielle’s firing. Have never heard a more rude, arrogant, interruptive, impatient talk radio host. Shaye is lazy and deadens any enquiry that goes against his narrative. Have switched to 640am (also Corus) and their hosts are informative, welcome debates/discussions and highlight much more of what’s going on in Canada by bringing on unbiased guests. Highlighting all sides and not the regurgitated, Government approved talking points.

  • Repetitive

Keeps having Dan Jones (go to police guy) to regurgitate his same stories over and over and over. Cringeworthy

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Alberta’s secession movement is unlike others in democratic countries across the world, experts say
Q: What stands out about Alberta's referendum compared to other independence movements?
The movement lacks a clear sense of Alberta nationhood and has no elected politicians openly advocating independence, making it unlike many other secessionist movements where a party or leadership pushes independence.
Canadian Economy, Middle Eastern War, Pipeline Routes
Q: What do these proposals tell us about the plan for pipeline routes to the West Coast?
Heather Exner-Purot notes the drafts show four potential routes (three north, one south), with the north being favored due to access to larger ships and practical alignment with existing energy infrastructure. There is ongoing Indigenous consultation and uncertainty about final selections before the July submission deadline.
New research shows why tipping is making more Canadians uncomfortable
Q: But is that sort of the defining factor for people? Like, where am I when I'm being asked a tip?
The guest discusses that the location of the ask and whether tipping is considered normal in that setting influence how people feel, with some environments prompting higher discomfort and others where tipping is more accepted. The adviser also notes that norms shift as people talk about and push back against these prompts.
Canada joining the EU? – A loonie Idea
Q: When you heard this, when you first started to hear talk of perhaps this as an idea that might take root, what did you think?
I thought it was laughable at first, mainly because Canada is geographically not in Europe, and economically the consequences of tying Canadian trade policy to Brussels would be profound, limiting Canada's freedom to set its own tariffs and negotiate independent deals.
Russia hits Ukraine with drones, missile strikes in deadly overnight attack
Q: Does this shift the dynamics toward a resolution, or are we approaching a stalemate?
The guest suggests Putin has chosen to continue military action rather than freeze the conflict, indicating a scenario where escalation may persist without a clear path to resolution for now.
