Kurt Leavins gets so angry, speaks loudly and interrupts his co-host incessantly, it makes it hard to listen to this podcast. I try to listen to this podcast to relax. David Staples tries his best to manage.
Unbelievable good content
I appreciate David’s emphasis on providing evidence based analysis to support his opinions and observations.
As an aside: most of the negative comments seem to centred around the sound quality etc.
The lack of “slick” production is all part of character and charm of the show.
It’s pleasing to hear a couple of old codgers sitting around the kitchen table talking about a team we love.
Hard to listen to someone who parrots MAGA talking points and cheers on discrimination against trans youth and POC. I miss Bruce who spoke about the stars publicly instead of championing hate.
God Bless You Bruce McCurdy. Great podcast to listen to during the 2025 Stanley Cup playoff run.

The format tends to be candid, opinionated, and contrast-heavy, with occasional guest-free discussions and sharp critiques of management moves, player performance, and tactical adjustments. A standout trait is the strong, long-running team dynamic between the hosts, which fuels detailed play-by-play style breakdowns and season-to-season context that appeals to dedicated Oilers fans and listeners... more
