This podcast is incredible for what it’s uncovered that the former Labor govt relentlessly tried to cover up. Fantastic investigative journalism. Disgraceful actions of the Palaszczuk government who created smoke and mirrors for more than a decade and flicked every single victim of crime in Queensland the bird. Makes me feel sick how Queenslanders voted them in and they abused their power to the detriment of us all.
What a powerful and effective podcast.
Thank you for pursuing Shandy’s case and the failures of the Queensland Forensic Lab, Hedley - you ( and Kirsty) have really held the government to account, along with the lazy, inept, dishonest public servants who have totally failed Queenslanders, especially victims of crimes.
If only all journalists had such integrity and worked as diligently and thoroughly.
Episode 17 why so political Hedley? Big plug for Murdoch & Skynews. I’ve listened to ALL your podcasts you & your team are sublime investigative journalists. Please don’t ruin it by including idiotic Skynews would be journos. You are credible and so skilled.
I can not believe the way these brutal crimes are being handled. It makes me physically sick to think about how the victims are being treated and how they must be coping.
There are perpetrators out there that are continuing to cause harm knowing that they are getting away with it. Who, within the powers that be, has to be harmed by one of the perpetrators before the correct procedures are performed.
It breaks my heart for everyone who has been affected by this injustice to QLD.
Just circled back to listen to Shandee’s Legacy after listening to the original podcast some time ago.
Thank goodness Hedley picked this up and thank goodness we no longer have that rotten labour Govt in power, who would’ve been happy to sweep it all under the carpet. Without Hedley’s high profile and dogged determination, they never would’ve addressed this issue. I’d like to see all those who were complicit in this debacle held criminally responsible, what an absolute disgrace at so many level... more
