This is an excellent podcast. Thank you for doing this and doing it so well
Leticia's story got me thinking differently about my role as a mother, about the nuances and complexities of adoption and child welfare, of the unique needs of Indigenous children. The reporter's personal connection to the subject, the links to Dr. Murray Sinclair and the very human experiences of the folks involved made this a deeply compelling listen. Well done, CBC Podcasts!
Listened to all 5 episodes so far. Great storytelling. Episodes on Latisha’s adoption were heartbreaking but also uplifting. Admire her & the reporter.
Great story that exemplifies the complexity of children in care and cultural challenges that exist. It was particularly relevant to learn as a Manitoban.
Excellent series! The 3 part series was informative and impactful. I appreciated learning Leticia’s story through the legal, cultural and human perspectives.
