  • Great show

I really enjoy this podcast for the most part. The guests that Andy and Mike get are usually really fantastic and provide a lot of insight. However, my gripe is that there are times of dead air when the hosts have nothing to say. It’s almost as if they weren’t listening to the guest or just can’t think of where to take the conversation next. I do enjoy that the hosts involve the folks in the chat but at times it seems the conversation goes all over the place because of what’s been said in the ch... more

  • Great podcast

I’ve said it before but will keep on flying the flag! Awesome shows. Sounds like good friends, very genuine guys talking in a garage or basement. Very informative but also very very easy and fun to listen to. Hopefully it continues on for years

Will this Freelance Railroad RULE them all? Greg McComas’s Michigan Interstate

Q: Where in the world did the V&O operate originally, and what were its key connections?
Brad explains the V&O ran primarily in West Virginia and Virginia, with a western reach to Gallipoli, Ohio, and interchanges through the Dayton area, forming a hub for bridge traffic with other freelance roads.
Exploring the Virginian & Ohio: From Its Origins to Modern Innovations
Q: David Winther asks: do Brady and Brad possess any of the V&O Gauley Division, or was it dismantled?
Brad explains the Afton Division survived only in fragments (one town, Clintwood) while the Gauley Division materials were largely redistributed or sold, with pieces ending up on other layouts.
