Lizzie is very passionate about agriculture, from someone not being from this background. It is lovely to have a non farming backgrounds perspective on the industry. She is lovely in person as well and keen to learn as much as she can, and is not afraid to ask questions. The episode I listen to, was very well good presented. With fab hosts that are well know in the industry. I really enjoyed it! This will be my new podcast for my long journeys for work.
Great Dorset first episode, it's good to hear real people telling it how it is and opening our eyes about all things watercress, amongst other things! Tim has a good easy way of talking and listening to your contributors and is doing great work for the local farming community - keep up the fab work!
Really great listen, Tim and Lizzie are excellent hosts and spark some really interesting conversations with guests. I particularly liked hearing from different perspectives and understanding the different people involved in getting food from the farm to our plates in the Down in Dorset series! Can’t wait for the next episode
Brilliant podcast informative and interesting
Love how Lizzie’s taken her experience across the board of farming and city/town living and helping those less accessible to experience rural life and help bridge the gap of understanding. Awesome work Lizzie!!

A warmly hosted program that centers farming, local food systems, and garden culture, featuring conversations with farmers, ecologists, nutrition experts, and food entrepreneurs. Episodes span dairy farming realities in the West Dorset region, beaver and water-quality debates, nature recovery and conservation, as well as seasonal farming life, from lambing to turkey farming. The show stands out for its practical, narrative-driven approach—blending technical detail with personal stories and regional context—making complex topics approachable for listeners curious about where their food comes from and how farming intersects with the environment, policy, and community life.
