This June we’re by the creek, trying not to get stuck in the rich mud as we forage for samphire and other salty snacks. In the water there are eels, travelling just one stage of their incredible life cycles, and above it flit dragon- and damselflies,... more
'The point of this has always been bliss.' As the Season Turns presents author Max Porter, reading his ecstatic springtime poem, commissioned by Ffern for their Spring 26 film, 'This Wild Land'. The film was made at Knepp Wilding - a rewilding projec... more

The main podcast has improved tremendously, back to the standard of the early episodes, relaxing as well as informative with a nice rhythm and delivery.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the Found Sounds episodes. Anyone hoping to listen to seasonal sounds will be disappointed. It has gradually turned into a woke whinge fest and I think would be better in a separate podcast altogether with a different title to attract the type of listeners who like to listen to this sort of thing.
I like the idea of this podcast but the speaker is talking way too fast I do not find that relaxing at all! Would love this to continue but in a much slower format.
Soothes my soul to listen to Found Sounds.
What a Podcast. Keeps me sane in insane times. Thank you!
Love this podcast through and through. I’ve felt numb for so long in life and the combination of soundscapes and the insights from artists is healing. Thank you for making this and please continue to. It helps me on my journey to finding my own art practise again. This is just magic. 🧡

A nature-forward, month-ahead program that blends natural history, folklore, and seasonal storytelling in a patchwork format. On the first of each month, Lia Leendertz guides listeners through lunar tides, wildlife, and myths, complemented mid-month by immersive Found Sounds pieces that feature field recordings and conversations with artists and musicians. The show is notable for its serene, audio-driven approach, its strong interdisciplinary crossover with literature, music, and heritage crafts, and a charming collaboration with a perfume brand that reinforces the seasonal theme. For potential guests and sponsors, the blend of poetic storytelling, folk-art connections, and high-quality sound design presents a distinctive, calmed-audio list... more
