  • Love the teachers (and the podcast)!

I loved episode 87! I truly appreciate it how Casey talked about the use of standardized testing with students, having boys that never do well on them, but are really good students make standardized testing a difficult one for me and I appreciated his take. I also loved Brian‘s take on focusing on the teachers And by doing that it will improve the environment for the students. My Takeaway, I’m heading off to email a teacher that I appreciate.

Toby reflects on the absurdity and innocence of children's humor being interpreted incorrectly, highlighting the fear educators feel about being judged.
Episode 133 (Part 2): The Fear Teachers Carry — When One Decision Can End a Career
Q: So Toby, is there, like talk to be real, is that why you were terminated is because of a book or was there a hidden agenda somewhere that you are discovering or assume?
Toby Price suggests that the decision to terminate him seemed radical and rooted in fear, creating a precedent where any educator could be fired without just cause.
Episode 132: Brain Myths, Learning Science, and What Teachers Actually Need to Know — with Tracey Tokuhama-Espinosa
Q: What is a good approach to build confidence in students struggling with writing?

Episode 132: Brain Myths, Learning Science, and What Teachers Actually Need to Know — with Tracey Tokuhama-Espinosa
Q: Do teachers receive enough training on neuroscience to truly meet the needs of students?
