  • Fortune Favors the Bold…and the Curious

It’s not enough to be bold in this never-normal environment. Curious, educated, observant, and even empathetic—things you can’t (yet) replicate with AI—are now minimum essential standards. Janice navigates these in a way that makes us comfortably uncomfortable in the best possible ways.

  • The Power of Revenue Architecture for SaaS Growth

It was so refreshing to hear a CEO talk about the importance of upsells and cross-sells, and actually includes them in his revenue architecture! According to a 2026 benchmark report (by Fullcast), 52% of new revenue in 2015 came from expansions! Yet, so many CEO continue to spend more on top of the funnel activities and don’t realize that their most efficient pipeline is already in their CRM. Great perspective from Simon and Janice!

  • I listen to a lot of business podcasts, and frankly, most of them feel like a 40-minute advertisement for the guest's business. Janice is different, she’s a solid interviewer who actually asks the right questions to pull out real value. It wasn't just a self-promotional pitch, it was a genuinely interesting conversation that was worth my time. I don't leave reviews often, but Janice is the real deal and absolutely worth the listen.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#309 Lindsay Rios - Are you scaling revenue or just creating chaos?
Q: What should a CEO prioritize to grow sustainably into 2026 and beyond?
Prioritize aligning all GTM functions around a single true ICP, invest in data-driven RevOps, and make disciplined go/no-go decisions to scale on purpose rather than by accident. Focus on the quality of leads and the health of the sales cycle, not just volumes, and create a culture that values problem-solving and clear metrics.
#302 Lynn Heidi - The Secrets to Coaching and Motivating Middle Performers in Sales Teams
Q: What makes the middle 68% a priority for leadership?
Focusing on the middle performers by coaching and removing roadblocks raises overall team performance, often yielding significant lift without sacrificing the top performers, who remain essential but need less micromanagement.
#302 Lynn Heidi - The Secrets to Coaching and Motivating Middle Performers in Sales Teams
Q: How do you ensure the sales organization is aligned to achieving revenue goals with people, processes, and technology?
The key is having a clear vision that explains how each role contributes to the end goal, and then aligning people and processes around that image; technology should enable the required behaviors and metrics once the vision is shared.
#308 Mirjam Martin - Operational Clarity vs. Revenue Leaks: How RevOps Drives Organizational Growth
Q: What are the essential competencies for RevOps at different stages of a company's growth?
Early-stage needs strong technical skills to build processes and integrate systems; later-stage needs process orientation and data-driven insights; overall, a Jacqueline-of-all-trades skill set with balance across data, processes, and technology is ideal.
#308 Mirjam Martin - Operational Clarity vs. Revenue Leaks: How RevOps Drives Organizational Growth
Q: What happens commercially when organizations scale without a shared definition or data dictionary?
Without a shared data language, different teams interpret metrics like pipeline, ARR, and bookings differently, leading to misaligned expectations and degraded forecasting; establishing a data dictionary and common definitions is crucial for reliable growth.
